Art Show

I recently decided to join the Internet neighbor connection site Front Porch Forum. You sign up and then receive emails from people around you that concern things in the area. Lost pets, found pets, free chickens (oh yeah), yard sales, babysitters... you get the idea. It sends me a posting everyday (sometimes twice a day) and other than just a way to fluffy up my usually empty inbox lets you know what is new in the neighborhood. It was via one of these emails that I learned about a children's art show. Kids were invited to bring an art piece to the City Hall Auditorium today at 4:30 to be entered in the show. So we got right to work this morning creating.

The show was really cute there were quite a few kids there.

Donated refreshments from Mirrabelle's (a very yummy bakery) were served.

Judges came up with cute awards for the kids. Here is Chloe returning with hers.

Alexa got one too but this very cute little boy walked in front of my camera just I was getting the shot. (Look closely you will see the edge of Alexa's flower dress there).

Along with a certificate each child got a small art sketch book. Chloe likes hers so much that when I went up a few minutes ago to check on her she is sleeping with it under her arm.
